2014: VALLES MARINERIS
A New Home for Mankind on Mars
The year is 2214.
Planet Earth can no longer sustain life. Mankind has no other choice but to evacuate the planet, and spread throughout the galaxy - colonizing multiple planets.
My mission - is to design a new home for humanity on Mars. A diverse Colony, not succumb to the limitations of the new surroundings (Gravitation, light flow and atmospheric pressure), but utilizes these limitations to create a rich way of living, and unfolding a new community.
The physical limitations are utilized as new possibilities for action. This will create unique solutions for the Valles Marineris colony.

2013: REJUVENATION
Tilanqiao Center for Age Studies
In the last 20 years, nearly the entire metropolis of Shanghai has undergone renovations; except for Tilanqiao - the historic neighborhood where the Jewish ghetto of Shanghai during WWII took place.
The authentic architecture defines the neighborhood's identity, but the conditions are dreadfull, and need to be addressed.
Rejuvenation is a gentle project that protects the local community; enriching their lives with relevant activities and subtle changes in architecture - that makes a big difference.

2012: TOGETHERNESS
A Home for Five
In a world where everyone is isolated in their own mobile phones and electronic devices, Togetherness strives to bring a femily together through a use of open but private spaces.
An open plan, using various methods of perforated curved screens, creates a dynamic living area; bringing individuals closer together, and loving together.
The rooms vary in their intensity, openness, privacy, and way of living.

2012: Adaptitecture
Adaptable Affordable Housing
Tel-Aviv of the 22nd century is an adaptive city. What was once a mecca for international-style architecture, is now the home of adaptive buildings; adjusting themselves to their residents.
Adaptitecture is a project that derrived from the initiative to have the home re-fit its residents, and not vise versa.
The apartments grow and/or shrink - depending on the family's needs.
Park Elevators offer open transportation to all inhabitants.
A project by Maya Shkedy and Guy Nir.
