Interior design is a field that has evolved from architecture. Unlike an architect who designs buildings, the interior designer - designs the interior space within the building, whether the building is new or existing. The role of the interior designer consists of several stages, starting from the planning stage, the division of the space in the optimal way that suits the needs of the customers and the usability of the space.

The field of interior design has changed rapidly in recent years. The variety, techniques and even the level of knowledge of the customers has changed. The new designer is required to lead the client safely in the project using the right knowledge, technology and experience and therefore the challenge lies in developing creativity, while maintaining innovation and professionalism.

The interior designer is committed to addressing many variables in his work: the person and thier needs, the given space and its environment, budget, functionality and aesthetics. All of these make up the human experience in the space.

Among other things, the designer must think about the appropriate lighting and its location, prepare an electrical and plumbing plan, furniture, textiles, paint and more. Therefore, interior design studies also teach the history of design and architecture, but also research details related to materials and textures and even develop conceptual and creative thinking. Upon completion of interior design studies, the designer can design and plan any interior space, from private homes to commercial spaces. Unlike an architect or engineer, the interior designer does not have the right to sign for changing buildings, i.e: if the design includes breaking walls, the designer must outsource the assistance of an architect or engineer, who will approve the move. The certificate studies in interior design include a wide range of topics that prepare the student to eventually become a professional interior designer.
